About Tipperary ETB

Since the amalgamation of North Tipperary VEC and South Tipperary VEC in 2013, Tipperary ETB has evolved, growing into its role as a key statutory provider of education and training services across the county.

Tipperary ETB is patron to 10 post-primary schools and colleges, and one high-support school, Coláiste Shliabh na mBan, all strategically located across the county. CTI Clonmel incorporates Raheen College and Gaelcholáiste Chéitinn (Aonad). Tipperary ETB is also a joint patron of Cashel Community School.

We also run 17 Further Education and Training (FET) centres across the county, including state of the art facilities at Archerstown, Thurles, and our dedicated Construction Skills Training Centre in Tipperary Town. Tipperary ETB’s FET service also includes the delivery of Youthreach, Lifelong Learning and a wide range of education services for people of almost any age.

Tipperary ETB is Patron to the county’s only multi-denominational primary school, Nenagh Community National School (CNS), which opened in August 2022. The CNS model has been developed in response to increasing diversity in Irish society, and a growing demand from parents for the provision of multi-denominational education.

Tipperary ETB is one of the largest employers in Tipperary, with over 1,500 staff. Tipperary ETB caters for over 5,000 post-primary students, over 150 primary pupils and over 13,000 FET participants (2022).
