Tipperary ETB was statutorily established in July 2013 through the amalgamation of two Vocational and Education Committees (VECs): North Tipperary VEC and South Tipperary VEC.

The Board of Tipperary ETB consists of 21 members:

  • 12 local authority nominees,
  • Two staff nominees,
  • Two parents’ nominees,
  • Five members from bodies who, in the opinion of the Minister for Education, have a special interest in or knowledge of education and training, with at least one from community/business, industry and employers. Our Board is established every five years, in line with the Education and Training Boards Act 2013.

Tipperary ETB’s corporate structure consists of a democratically appointed “Board” and a leadership “Executive” team, as provided for in the Education and Training Boards Act 2013.
