Clodagh Kelly

Ms Clodagh Kelly has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive of Tipperary ETB, taking over from Ms Bernadette Cullen who served in the role since 2019.

From 2010 to 2020, Clodagh was Principal of Newport College, where she led the development of a growing secondary school near Limerick, overseeing the approval of a new school building during her tenure.

She became Director of Schools at Tipperary ETB in 2020, a role she will continue in while serving as Acting Chief Executive.

In her current role as Director of Schools with Tipperary Education and Training Board (ETB), Clodagh supports 10 post-primary schools, one Community National School (Nenagh CNS), one high support primary school (Coláiste Shliabh na mBan), the newly announced Nenagh Community Special School, Music Generation programmes, youth work provision across the county, and manages the REALT team. She brings specialist leadership and planning expertise, along with extensive experience in both organisational and instructional leadership. Her professional interests include distributed school leadership, curriculum and assessment reform, restorative practices, learner empowerment, and fostering communities of practice.

The recruitment process for a permanent Chief Executive is underway, and is being managed by the Public Appointments Service.
