Tipperary Education and Training Board hosted the annual awards ceremony in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Horse & Jockey, Thurles on Friday, 6th November, 2015 for students who attended the Post Primary schools and Youthreach centres under the remit of the Tipperary ETB. This annual event is held to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of the students in our schools and centres.
Ms. Fionuala McGeever, Chief Executive of Tipperary ETB opened the ceremony by welcoming the Chairperson, Guest Speakers, TETB Members, TETB Staff Members; Principals, Deputy Principals and Staff from the eleven schools, the Youthreach Managers; award recipients, their families and friends.
The awards were presented to the Nominees by the Chairperson of Tipperary ETB, Cllr. John Hogan. The presentation of the awards is a significant event in the annual calendar.
Students were presented with an award and a certificate for their achievements in the following categories; Best Leaving Certificate, Best Leaving Certificate Applied, Personal Achievement and Sport from the following Schools:

These awards acknowledge the efforts of students, teachers, schools and centres to achieve continuous improvements and excellence in academic studies and personal development.
Ms. McGeever closed the ceremony by thanking all for attending this momentous occasion. She congratulated the students and wished them well for the future. She thanked the Chairperson Cllr. John Hogan and Guest Speakers Ms. Olga Bulat and Mr. Paddy Codd for their contributions. She further thanked all involved in the organisation of this very successful night. Ms. McGeever declared the ceremony closed and welcomed everyone to join for refreshments.
