On Tuesday 10th May, over seventy men from Templemore, Thurles, Roscrea, Borrisokane, Nenagh, Cahir, Clonmel, Tipperary Town, Glengoole and Carrick attended a Men’s Shed Networking day in the Horse and Jockey Hotel. The day was opened by Eileen Condon, Education Officer, TETB and Antoinette Coffey, Adult Education Officer, TETB was also in attendance.
Each of the locations delivered a presentation which outlined their history, activities, challenges and opportunities. The event also focused on Men’s Health and this session was presented by Paul Fenton, Sheila Ryan and Sheila Kiely of the Tony Fenton Foundation.
In the afternoon, the men had an opportunity to network, share ideas and plan. Tipperary ETB supports the Men’s Sheds in the County through a variety of Community Education Programmes.
Thank you to all the groups for their presentations on the day and also to Veronica Crowe and Deborah Ryan, Tipperary ETB for organising the event.
Overall the day was a huge success and feedback was very positive.
